Frankly Gin, the dark horse who took out the Champion Gin at the 2021 Royal Australian Spirit Awards
Frankly Gin, a South Australian owned and locally distilled new gin, scooped the pool at the recent Royal Australian Spirit Awards winning:
- Champion Gin – Dry Citrus
- Champion Small Batch – Dry Citrus
- Gold medal - Dry Citrus Gin
- Silver medal - Dry Myrtle Gin
After two years of development, brother and sister, Frank and Berni Woods, are now looking forward to launching Frankly Gin in time for Christmas. Originally from the Riverland, they believed they had created something special and threw their hats into the ring at the recent Royal Australian Spirit Awards just to see where Frankly Gin sat amongst its competitors.
“We are still in shock, but extremely proud to be recognised alongside some of the best distillers in South Australia…it’s our dream come true “ said Frank Woods following the Awards.
Berni Woods, formerly a fitness studio owner, believes that Frankly Gin would support low calorie tonic or sodas. “You can still have few cheeky Gins without blowing the calorie budget”.
